Case Study—Artist Obtains Refinancing from the Same Lender He Was Previously Denied For

An artist wanted to refinance his home to take advantage of lower rates, but he had been told by his mortgage broker that he would not qualify. He was also told by his mortgage broker that the loan program he needed was no longer available.

When I reviewed his original mortgage, I found that it was issued by a niche lender that I have a very good relationship with.

We did a meticulous loan application package in which everything was explained beforehand in great detail with letters of explanation and ample documentation. Our contact at the lender also helped with the wording of a few particular details. As a result, we got the loan approved and the borrower got the refinance at the rate he wanted.
